The natural world and environmental themes have always been a major focus in my work. Some of this is apparent in my use of (purely artificial or feeling-generated) wood growth patterns, often developed through a wood block relief print process.
Using a technique of spilling and blowing metallic powder onto wet ink, but cutting the paper into pieces before printing it, I aim for a facsimile of light breaking through the forest/dimension.
